building projecta defining opportunityhow can i invest

Q: How far along is the campaign?

A: During 2002 the Friends of Asherwood raised nearly $80,000 and Marion Community Schools completed budgeting $205,000 towards the project. This is approximately 1/3 of the estimated building cost.

A: At the end of 2002 about $60,000 has been pledged/or contributed to the endowment.

Q: Where and who is managing the donations?

A: Contributions to both the building fund and the endowment are being handled by the Community Foundation of Grant County.

Q: Are gifts to the campaign tax deductible?

A: Yes. All gifts will be received and receipted by the Community Foundation of Grant County and are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. You should consult with your financial advisor: timely charitable giving may generate tax advantages for you.

Q: Will my level of commitment be made public in any way?

A: No. There will be no announcements declaring what individuals have committed. However, the total amount committed, not on an individual basis, will be announced periodically during the campaign. The only exception to this policy will be if the donor agrees to disclose the gift amount as a means to invite others to join in the funding effort.

Q: When do we expect to reach the goal for construction?

A: We have set December 31, 2005 as the target date to secure commitments.
