The Marion Community Schools in cooperation with the Friends of Asherwood has embarked on an ambitious and innovative effort to improve the classroom facilities at Asherwood and to establish a system through which Asherwood may become financially sustainable. The Friends of Asherwood along with the Asherwood Director and support of the Marion Community Schools began a campaign to raise two million dollars. One million dollars will be used to construct a new classroom building at Asherwood and one million dollars will be placed into an endowment fund. Both of these accounts are held and managed by the Community Foundation of Grant County. The success of this campaign will depend on hard work and many who are willing to share their financial resources with a program that is focused on themes of education, children, and environment.
